The kickstarter set up to reprint Daphne Oram’s An Individual Note Of Music, Sound And Electronics reached its target with cash to spare
As reported back in June, The Daphne Oram Trust launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to reprint her book An Individual Note Of Music, Sound And Electronics in time to mark 2017 being the 45th anniversary of its original publication. The trust hit its target of £10,000 with more than £5000 spare from 515 backers. As a result it’s now possible for Anomie publishing to reprint it in hardback. The new edition will include an introduction by roboticist and sound historian Sarah Angliss. On 11 October Anomie tweeted “Final stages of repro work on @daphneoram #anindividualnote – we can’t wait to see this new edition in print! #casemateart #sarahangliss”.
An Individual Note Of Music, Sound And Electronics will be published this year on 23 November in the UK and 15 December in the US.
